Speak up for UK Aid

Due to recent government decisions around spending, we no longer have any certainty around continued funding from the UK government for our vital work. VSO has been a partner with the UK government for over 60 years. We do not want to see this end.

Find your MP

If you have not emailed your MP before, you can look up their contact details by entering your postcode here.

We need you – and every supporter - to email your MP and urge them to write to the Minister for International Development, Baroness Chapman of Darlington.

Write to your MP now. Put into your own words your concerns on these funding cuts and your own personal experiences, stories, values, or reasons for supporting VSO, volunteering, and development.  Remind them of the deep and historic relationship VSO and the UK have had.

Ask them to share your concerns and how vital it is the government continues to support VSO and volunteering for development. We’ve given you some suggested copy linked below which you can take and adapt.
