Thanks to you, VSO can equip neonatal intensive care units in Uganda, Ethiopia, and Sierra Leone, with cost-effective equipment. But technology alone is not enough to save lives: even more important is having the right knowledge and expertise.

 

The greatest impact your gift will have is through training and mentoring people, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to keep mums and babies safe.

 

Through volunteers like Sarika, who works alongside Tsige in Mulu Asefa Hospital in Tigray, we're training midwives and local healthcare workers in vital skills. They will go on to share their skills with others, creating long-lasting change in their own communities.
