National Three Peaks Challenge

Cost: £75 Target: £775

Stunning views from Snowdon, the third and final peak

With the aim to summit the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours this trek is both unrelenting and exhilarating in nature.

The challenge begins in Scotland where you will trek up Ben Nevis (1,344m) before beginning your ascent on England’s Scafell Pike (978m) at night. The trek will finish having taken in the dizzying sights at the top of the infamous Snowdon peak (1,085m) in Wales. Expertly led by our trek partner Charity Challenge, you will be taking on one of the UK's toughest challenges.

Fundraising costs explained

We'd love for you to take on the Three Peaks Challenge to support VSO's projects around the world. We have two fundraising options available:

  • Pay a registration fee of £75 when you book
  • Pay £380 five weeks before your challenge
  • Fundraise as much as you can for VSO

The full cost of this challenge is £455. We'd love you to raise as much as you can for VSO. We'll give you fundraising advice as you go along, so don't hesitate to get in touch for fundraising ideas.

You will receive fundraising advice and sponsorship forms and be asked to raise as much as you can for VSO. Once you have covered the full cost of the challenge, 100% of your fundraising will then be retained by your VSO.

  • Registration fee of £75 when you book
  • Raise a minimum of £775 for VSO

You will be required to pay the registration fee of £75 at the time of booking and raise a minimum amount of sponsorship, £775 for VSO.

Money raised should be sent to VSO as you raise it. At least 80% of the minimum sponsorship required (£620) must be sent to VSO seven weeks before departure, and the remaining 20% (£155.00) within four weeks of completing the challenge.

Fitness requirements

Due to the nature of this 26 mile trek, a good level of fitness is required as well as steely determination! Over the course of 24 hours you will ascend heights of almost 3,000m, so it is vital that you are well-prepared. We recommend training well in advance for this challenge, and can give you tips as you go. Your efforts will pay off, with some of the most beautiful scenery the UK has to offer, and the satisfaction of completing such an incredible feat – priceless!
