Role overview

To lead high quality delivery of the SRP component within VSO resilient signature programme implementation, with a focus on: partnership building and rice value chains facilitating shared understanding of the wide-reaching benefits of SRP; facilitating better access to improved inputs,technology, knowledge and markets; developing stronger linkages between market actors and delivering a high quality and context specific training to boosting rice export sustainable, and high-quality rice products

Skills, qualifications and experience

Education & Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor degree in agriculture required, preferably with specialization in agribusiness, Agricultural Economics or Rural Development
- At least 3-4 years’ experience on applied research, community development and value chains
Knowledge & Skill:
- Strong knowledge of the stakeholders in the agricultural sector especially the rice sector
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding about SRP and its benefits
- Confident trainer and facilitator and understanding of participatory approaches
- Strong interpersonal, communication and network skills
- High level of demonstrated competency in developing and implementing effective strategies, business plans and budget management
- Demonstrated ability to nature and/or build effective partnerships with different partners
- Results-oriented with the ability to deliver high targets and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to work in a cross-cultural and multidisciplinary environment
- Fluency in English and Khmer essential
- Computer literate with additional expertise in statistical or other similar software is desirable
- Use of ICT in value chains
- Ability to organize farmers into business organizations, including linking them to markets
