Role overview

As Safeguarding and Protection Officer, the post-holder will support the implementation and management of VSO Global Safeguarding Policy and associated protocols across VSO Philippines. S/he will be responsible for 1) ensuring that safeguarding standards are in place and are subject to continuous monitoring/review, 2) ensuring safe programming
by identifying potential risks to children and other vulnerable people in all the project activities and mainstreaming a safeguarding approach through programme design, delivery, monitoring and evaluation, 3) incident and crisis management response. The job holder will play a pivotal role in capacity building and mentoring staff, volunteers, and helping partners implement protection standards, tools, and approaches.
