Role overview

To provide specialist procurement expertise and guidance to the global organization and develop and implement best practice procurement processes. Leading the design and delivery of frequent Country Office visits to deliver trainings to meet organisational objectives and compliance requirements.

Skills, qualifications and experience

Essential:

Formally recognized procurement qualification (MCIPS or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5years procurement experience
Experience of developing and delivering procurement training
Good working knowledge of donors within the NGO sector
Deep technical knowledge of procurement processes, procedures (including tendering)
Experience of negotiating contracts and contract management and developing, implementing and monitoring SLAs and KPIs
Willingness to travel frequently (this role will involve at minimum 6 visits to VSO Country Offices both within Africa and Asia per year)
