Impact

From grassroots community groups to government ministries, we work with a vast range of organisations, to achieve carefully devised development plans. We are rigorous in selecting our partner employers, and do our best to ensure that they possess structures within which you can be effective.

We work closely with our partner organisations, and respond to their requests for development assistance. We usually select volunteers and them match them to a placement. You may have to wait for a request in your skill area to arrive, once it does you can start making a difference as soon as possible.

We want your placement to be as effective as possible for you and the group you’ll be working with, so we will assign you a placement adviser to help finalise the details of your role.

A valuable legacy

Volunteers believe in enabling other people to stretch themselves and strive for a better life independently. Working with your colleagues to find out areas of work that need improvement, and how to make this happen, takes longer than simply telling other people what to do. By having time to test your ideas and adapt them to different demands, you leave behind tools and systems that will help your colleagues to handle future challenges on their own.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways you can make a real difference to people living in the toughest circumstances. Most people join us because they want to give something back and find they get much more in return.
