Meena Paudel, Programme Coordinator from Nepal Disabled Women's Association (NDWA) – one of VSO Nepal's partner organisations from the participation and governance programme – has been selected along with two other finalists for Aosta’s (Italy) ‘Woman of the Year’ awards. NDWA has been in partnership with VSO since 2007.

Find out why you should vote for Meena in the short video below in which Laura Garcia Puig talks about her work and the impact that this award would have for NDWA should Meena win. Laura used to volunteer alongside Meena and is now volunteer support team manager for VSO UK.

You can vote for Meena here; select her name and click on the ‘vote’ button on the right of the page.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways you can make a real difference to people living in the toughest circumstances. Most people join us because they want to give something back and find they get much more in return.
